The Play

These, now two books recount the life of this large, adventurous family from the 1940’s in the harsh climates of Northern Manitoba, to the lush green fields of Southwestern Ontario in the 1950’s, to the present day. It’s a truly remarkable Canadian journey.
The play tells one story about the Gervais family while the book tells many different stories.

Wanted to let everyone know how my trip to the Royal Manitoba Theater went on Oct. 14. Larry, Celine & I plus the community actors, Louise Daymond & Isla Gorton, helped us read selections from The Thirteenth One. Steven Schipper, the retiring Artistic Director, told us that his one great regret was that he couldn't do my play at this theater. Many friends & relatives enjoyed the reading and had some good laughs too.
